The Art of Tim

No sketches for this past weekend, I was just way too busy. I couldn’t find the time or energy to do sketching. Had my girlfriend’s commencement ceremony on Friday, where I got sunburned, then a trip down to Durham New York for an Irish Music Festival on Saturday, and finally a bunch of work and a pet emergency on Sunday. I’m worn out.

Just some scribbles today to get me back into the routine for the week.

Forgot to post yesterday’s sketch, was too wrapped up in Age of Conan

Nothing too glamorous today, just toying with some steam-powered rifle designs.

Just some brainstormin’ today. You’ll be seeing a lot of this kind of stuff over the next few months.

Yesterday’s faces were, in order, Will Smith, Jack Black, an iffy Tom Cruise, an awful Robert Downey Jr., a passable Russel Crowe and a really, really poor Natalie Portman.

Also going to have to start fiddling with this scanner, because these are scanning really rough and grainy. Normally not a big deal because I just ink over the sketches in Photoshop, but if I’m going to be posting pencils I need them to translate better than this.

Spent the day working on a script for one of the animated series episodes, and during small breaks, base-coating my Idrian Skirmishers. Fourteen gods-damned infantry models. Ugh. A full unit, plus unit attachment, plus an additional leader and skirmisher in case I want to field two minimum units. My goal is to have them finished by the end of the month.

Anyway… finished downloading the client for Age of Conan, all set for the early start on Saturday. Anyone else planning to be there? Whenever they post server names I’ll choose one and let you know. Maybe we can decapitate some shit. Right now I’m leaning towards my standard priestly preference. Either a Bear Shaman or a Tempest of Set, I think. We’ll see.
