Can’t sleep

Meh, it’s 4am. Not tired.

New layer, fill canvas with black. Take polygonal lasso and start making selections. Delete selected areas. Sort of a neat Frank Miller-ish kind of style.

Snapped a shot of my car. The entire passenger side is pretty much assembled, and the driver’s side is almost done. Now we’re down to detail work, and then paint.

Things have been great. The CAD World of Warcraft guilds on Dark Iron are doing really well. I’ll admit, I’ve been playing a lot more than I probably should have, but I’m nearing 60 now, so I’ll probably start playing at a much more relaxed pace. The new patch hit today, which I haven’t had a chance to check out since I’m working on comic stuff, but included a lot of much-needed improvements. All in all, playing with fans has been a really great experience. They’re some awesome people, and I hope they enjoy the guilds as much as I do.

Britanny has started classes again. This is her junior year in college, and she’s been accepted into a very exclusive nursing program. They’ve got some pretty harsh requirements, like having three chances to score 100% on a qualifying math exam or be removed from the program. But she passed it, just like I knew she would. She’s got a heavy workload, but she’s handling it well. I’m really proud of her.

The books, which we’ve been waiting on for two months now, have just arrived at the ZeStuff warehouse in Canada. The rest of this week I’ll be working overtime getting comics done in advance. I also have to sign and number all of the Certificates of Authenticity for the hardcover copies of the books. On Sunday morning I’ll be flying up to Montreal where I’ll spend a few days doing nothing but signing books. I’ve done a lot of signing at conventions and such, but I think this will really test my mettle.

I’ve got a couple of really big announcements that are driving me nuts because I can’t reveal them yet. However I’ve been talking with certain people about the possibility of hosting a Ctrl+Alt+Del LAN event somewhere on the east coast. It’s just an idea, but we’re going to see if we can make something like that happen.

Britanny and I have been watching through Firefly again. I’m really anticipating the release of Serenity at the end of the month.

We went out to Best Buy today and picked up Lost on DVD, which we’ll start as soon as we’re done with Firefly.
